Won The International 2021, OG Becomes The First Team To Raise Aegis 2 Times

The International 2021 has once again broken one curse and set a new record. The defending champion OG managed to come out as champion through a very dominant performance. This makes them the first team to win The International twice and in a row.

Since the group phase, OG has indeed appeared very dominant, only losing two games and topped Group B with a considerable difference in points. Since then OG has looked like a team that is on a different level with understanding and execution that is difficult for other teams to imitate.

Sure enough, throughout the round playoffs, OG still appear dominant. Facing Newbee in the first round upper bracket, they strolled with a score of 2-0. They did lose one games respectively against Evil Geniuses and PSG.LGD. But one loss games was immediately rewarded with two wins games which is very easy. OG advanced to the final round with their own style of play.

OG’s opponents in the final round were Team Liquid, both of whom wanted to be the first team to lift Aegis twice. Team Liquid opens games first with one win thanks to OG error in late game. But in two games next OG went on a rampage and massacred Team Liquid, each in just over 20 minutes.

Enter games third, Team Liquid decided to let OG take the IO for Ana. This bet looks effective when Team Liquid for the first time after two games can do push to base OG. But only from one team fight, OG managed to turn things around, loot base Team Liquid, and never gave a breath. In just 25 minutes, OG captured games third and came out as champion of The International 2021.
