Kill EG 3-0 in Final, VGJ.Thunder Wins Galaxy Battles II

VGJ.Thunder continued their positive performance in 2021. After qualifying for The Bucharest Major, the Chinese team won the Galaxy Battles II. In this way they are entitled to a prize of US $ 200,000 (approximately IDR 2.6 billion). Unfortunately, this tournament does not award Dota 2 Pro Circuit points because it no longer has Major status.

Galaxy Battles II itself was followed by eight teams from six different regions. One of them was PG.Barracx from Indonesia who passed the Wild Card round. Unfortunately in the first half double elimination best of three, they have to face Evil Geniuses (EG), the favorite team from America.

Despite trying to put up a fight, PG.Barracx had to admit the advantage of EG 2-0 and went down to lower bracket which is played with the format best of one. Fight them in the first round lower bracket is Pain Gaming from South America. However, it turned out that they could not beat Pain Gaming and had to drop out of the tournament.

EG playing with roster just turned out to be dominant in this tournament. After defeating PG.Barracx, they can beat OG and VGJ.Thunder with perfect scores. That way they just have to wait in the final round.

In the final round they had to face VGJ.Thunder once again. But in the final best of five, it was VGJ.Thunder who again dominated. Even though he had given up fierce resistance in games second, EG must be defeated by a score of 3-0.
