Modified assault rifle recommendations:
Vertical grip/angled grip – Angled grip increases stability at lower levels and offers faster sight when aiming, but you should prioritize pushing vertical grip stability to maximize Assault Rifles.
Compensator, suppressor, flash hider – one of the main options you need to choose. Suppressors are deadly on all types of assault rifles, limiting your opponent’s ability to find you by sound. The compensator will compensate which can be vital if you plan to shoot brutally at close range. If you find a suppressor, prioritize it on the Compensator unless you have another suppressor weapon. Recent community trials have shown that flash flash reduces recoil to the same extent as compensators, while providing the added utility of hiding gunfire, making it a great choice.
Extended mag – Quite useful compared to Quickdraw mag. Having additional bullets basically ready means they’re ready to fire, rather than reloading faster.
2x 4x or 8x scopes – Assault rifles really hit the ground running with a decent scope, the superior scope of 8x allows you to focus on headshots.
SMG
Vector: A small priority choice of catastrophe that is not capable of speeding and is limited only by its short range. Many people like this weapon in the last moments of the game, where the area starts to shrink. It’s almost always best used in full-auto, shooting brutally to maintain accuracy at 15 meters.
UMP: Bridge between SMGs and Assault Rifles, with slower rate of fire offset by limited range and better effective range (30-40m) than Vector. UMP requires many modifications to reach its best potential. Shoot brutally in auto mode for quick kills. Its 9mm ammunition should be a lot.
Uzi: Fast, but not very accurate. With stock the Uzi became much more stable, but still terrible at anything over 15-20 meters.

SMG mods recommendation:
Extended magazine – It is very important to make Vector and Uzi especially successful, by default mag is so stingy.
Suppressor – With the rate of fire plus silence is a crazy combo.
Vertical foregrip – Provides a vital boost to Vector and UMP effectiveness.
Uzi stock – If you have the heart to use the Uzi, be sure to select this to improve stability and reduce recoil.
Sniper rifles
AWM: Very strong. The AWM is the only weapon in the game that will knock out a level 3 helmeted opponent. With its incredible range, in the right hand, it’s an invaluable tool for direct tasting at enemies. You will only find it in Care Packages, along with a .300 Magnum (7.62 × 67mm) ammunition type.
credits: The second weakest long rifle, fulfilling its role as a sniper rifle rather than a full-fledged sniper rifle. I tend to prioritize it over assault rifles unless there’s a sniper rifle silencer handy to use, due to the rarity of this sniper modification and preferable to single shot assault rifles.
Kar-98k: A fantastic rifle, with decent iron-sights and lethal accuracy. Try to take the extra moment to shoot headshots when operating the Kar-98 – the slow rate of fire often means you’ll have limited opportunities to shoot and it’s hard to hit moving targets without defense. A single headshot will knock out enemies wearing anything under a level 3 helmet. Body shots will require at least two shots, or three against a level 3 vest.
M24: Like its little brother the AWM is not as powerful as the AWM but still very effective at long ranges. If you want to hide in the hills and take a good spot, this will be your weapon of choice thanks to its abundant 7.62mm ammo.
Mk14 EBR: We’ve never tried it but from the information obtained this weapon is less powerful.
VSS: VSS is an unusual weapon. It comes with a built-in permanent scope, and while its subsonic 9mm ammo is weak and difficult to deploy at long ranges, the suppression makes it difficult for targets to pinpoint your location. If you’re struggling to find optics and assault rifles, this can give you mid-range abilities in a pinch, and can come in handy towards the end of the game.

Sniper mod recommendations:
8x scopes. 15x scope – AWM or M24 without scope is a curse because they don’t have iron-sights.
Suppressor – There’s nothing in Battlegrounds more terrifying than having snipers shooting at you, without being able to tell which way they’re shooting.
Pistols
The gun isn’t in a very good place at the moment. They are weak, inaccurate, and have poor sights. If you’re using a gun in the early stages other than the first five minutes of the game, a better option might be to hide and avoid the fight altogether.
Shotguns
S686: The classic double-barreled shotgun is probably the most effective tool for very close range. If you miss both shots you’re probably dead, but both shots are enough to finish off even an armored foe. With the longest shotgun range (about 12m)
S12K: The S12K is great, if you’re concerned about accuracy, with five rounds in a single reload and a fast rate of fire you can brutalize easily at close range. You can’t choke, which means it’s less effective than other rifles at close range, while taking slightly less damage per shot.
S1897: Pump-action shotguns like the classics, like all weapons of this class, very powerful at close range (up about seven meters). However, the slow rate of fire can wreak havoc on you.
Recommended shotgun mods:
Shotgun chokes – give the S686 or S1897 a much-needed boost in terms of range, making them effective in inflicting damage on enemies at long range, or throwing fire at a car full of enemies.
Extended mag – Makes room for a few more bullets in the S12K.
Melee
Frying pan the only melee option worth taking right now, especially since it saves your ass.
Special weapon
M249: Weapon Care Packages Another special (rambo weapon), with 100 bullets per reload, strong damage and a fast rate of fire make this tool powerful for destroying cars, while in the mid-range it can tear targets. The M249 is even very effective at long distances. Try to shoot continuously or you will quickly lose accuracy.
