PUBG Will Be Available Mobile Version in China
Chinese tech giant Tencent just announced last week that it had won the exclusive rights to publish and distribute PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in China. Now, after wasting time with that hot commodity, he announced plans to market the game to the platform PUBG mobile Android iOS in China.
Tencent promises a similar PUBG experience on mobile as on PC, though it remains to be seen how the company will learn how to shoot to smaller screens. The game is currently being planned and only launched in China first. There’s no official word on whether the mobile port will eventually be released globally, but it feels likely. However, as the company points out in its (Chinese) press release, PUBG has now sold over 20 million copies worldwide – so we’re expecting a wider release.
Since its release PUBG has released tons of games similar to it, including on mobile, some of which are pretty good – so it will be interesting to see how the game officially releases and whether it will be well received by players or not.
