PUBG Distributes 20,000 BP Free After Wrongly Banned Player

PUBG Corp. developers are very serious about cracking down on cheaters who roam their game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds by launching an anti-cheat system in recent weeks. This latest system is known to be effective in dealing with cheaters, but unfortunately the latest anti-cheat system also made a mistake by banning players who did not use cheats, even some innocent players who were banned from their accounts could not log into the game for a certain period of time.

And yesterday in one of the Steam blog posts, explaining “As you know, one of our highest priorities is working to remove hackers and cheaters from PUBG,”

“We’ve made great strides in this area recently, but unfortunately sometimes we get it wrong, which was the case recently when a number of players were improperly banned and unable to access the game for a period of time. While we will continue to work to improve this detection method, we ask for your patience on the several occasions where an undue ban could occur.” he added.

The post continues “For those players who are affected even though they are not cheating, we will provide a small compensation of 20,000 BP to your account. The compensation should already appear in the affected player’s account. Please check below for full details on which accounts are eligible for this compensation.

“We apologize to anyone who was unable to play the game due to this error and hope that this compensation helps make up for lost time.”

Those of you who are unsure if you are eligible to receive compensation must meet the following criteria:

  • Login to the game to version 3.8.38.15 between June 16, 11am – 1:30pm PDT / June 16, 8pm – 22.30 CEST / June 17, 3am – 5:30am KST or June 17, 1am – 3:30 morning Western Indonesian Time / WIB
  • Banned due to internal ban detection logic

The latest PUBG update is coming out tomorrow June 22 with maps, weapons, gameplay, ui improvements and yesterday PUBG just celebrated the game has sold over 50 million copies on PC and Xbox One worldwide, has reached 400 million players across all platforms, and for the first time since the release of March 2021 PUBG is now at a 33% discount on Steam until July 5, 2021.
