Hearthstone Masters Will Be Bigger in 2021

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The Hearthstone Masters Tour is getting bigger in 2021! In 2021, Blizzard held three Masters Tours: in Las Vegas, Seoul and Bucharest. Thousands of players entered the Master Qualifier for a chance at this event, and the Hearthstone Esports team is proud to announce that we will double the number of Master Tour 2021 events.

All six 2021 Master Tours will offer a $250,000 prize pool, with a fundraising initiative expected to increase the total prize pool for each Master Tour (details to be announced later).

These events have spawned fun and exciting moments in Hearthstone esports, where top players and newbies meet each other to showcase their skills.

Starting in 2021, Hearthstone Esports will work closely with ESL and DreamHack as a trusted vendor for next year’s Hearthstone Masters Tour event.

Grandmasters & Relegation

Grandmasters will be back in 2021 with two seasons, the first season starting in April and the second season in August. Each season lasts eight weeks, but with a new competition structure.

For the first four weeks, the format will rotate with all 16 players from each of the three regions (America, Europe, Asia-Pacific) competing against each other and accumulating points by ranking. These points will be used to determine the two divisions in each region.

Weeks five, six and seven will be played by knockout in both divisions, just like the previous Grandmaster season.

In this way, the Playoffs will last for eight weeks, and qualify for one player from each region at the end of the year, who will then participate in the World Championship.

About promotion and relegation: three players from each region will be relegated at the end of Grandmaster Season 3, where players who finished in the top three of the first three Masters Tour 2021 will be promoted to Grandmasters.
