GridGames.ID – The charm of eSports seems to be getting special attention, this can be seen from the many competitions held from various game genres, one of which is football.

Now this time, EA Sports and the Premier League are working together to hold an eSports league competition called the ePremier League which is inspired by the FIFA eWorld Cup.

“EA Sports is an amazing partner for the Premier League, and we will soon be releasing the ePremier League with them,” said Premier League Managing Director Richard Masters.

Richards Masters hopes that with the ePremier League competition, clubs playing in the Premier League can be closer to their fans.

“We know that there are millions of (English League) fans who play FIFA games and this eSports competition can add to the closeness of clubs with them,” added Richard.

Later, the ePremier League competition will be participated by 20 teams consisting of British citizens aged 16 years or older, and the qualifying round will be conducted online using PlayStation or Xbox One consoles.

The first kick off of the ePremier League itself will begin in January, and the 16 best players from each team will participate in the playoffs in February.

As for the final round, this competition will be broadcast live on television and will be held in London in March 2021.
