Sony Pictures as the film producer has scheduled Resident Evil Reboot to be screened in theaters starting September 3, 2021.

Launching from gameinformer.com, director Johannes Roberts revealed that he wanted to return the concept of film to 2 original game first Resident Evil.

Through this concept, Johannes Roberts wants to give a realistic impression of the dying human civilization in a small American town that is closely related to the current pandemic conditions.

Filming for Resident Evil Reboots began in early 2021 after Resident Evil: Final Chapter was released.

In its development, Johannes Roberts was appointed as writer and director of Resident Evil Reboot replacing James Wan.
