Capcom Starts Promoting Resident Evil Village, Lady Dimitrescu Wanders in Game Stores

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The Resident Evil Village (RE8) release date is drawing near. Capcom started promoting its newest game by installing a figure of Lady Dimitrescu in game stores. For those who don’t know, Lady Dimitrescu is one of the enemies that will be faced by Ethan Winters, the main protagonist in the game.

Since its appearance in the trailer, Lady Dimitrescu immediately stole the attention of gamers. Fans nicknamed her the “tall vampire lady”, because of her tall figure, with an elegant but scary face and stature.

After officially introducing the name Lady Dimitrescu (Alcina Dimitrescu), recently Capcom also announced the official height of the antagonist. Lady Dimitrescu is 2.9 meters tall, or taller than Resident Evil 3’s legendary foe, Nemesis who is 2.2 meters tall.

Apparently Capcom wants to exploit the Resident Evil fans’ hype by using Lady Dimitrescu as part of the Resident Evil Village game promotion campaign. As reported by The Gamer, now the figure of Lady Dimitrescu is starting to wander in game shops in Hong Kong. A similar cut from Dimitrescu was also used at the PlayStation Show Japan last week.

It is not yet clear whether Lady Dimitrescu will also be present in game stores in other parts of the world, including Indonesia. What is clear is that gamers, especially loyal fans of the Resident Evil franchise, can’t wait to play RE8.

Resident Evil Village will be released on 7 May 2021 simultaneously for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, and Stadia platforms. The Resident Evil game franchise turns 25 years old on March 22, 2021. Since it was released under the name “Biohazard” in Japan, March 22, 1996, this game has become one of the most popular survival horror titles by gamers.

Last week, Capcom announced it would be holding a new Resident Evil showcase for April. Capcom also opened an open beta test for Resident Evil Re: Verse in April on all available platforms.
