Starladder Season 5 Day One: OpTic Qualifies for Playoffs
The first day of the group stage of the Starladder Season 5 tournament has just ended with the completion of half of group A. OpTic Gaming from North America managed to qualify from the group and will play in the final. playoffs next weekend.
In groups with GLS format best of three, OpTic met Kinguin in the first round. Although Kinguin fought back and equalized 1-1, OpTic showed they had the upper hand and ended the first half of the group 2-1.
Fight them in winners’ match group A is VGJ.Thunder, who in the first round beat FlyToMoon. Even though they were surprised and went down 0-1, VGJ.Thunder managed to reply with two games fast and win 2-1.
Unfortunately facing OpTic, VGJ.Thunder did not budge. Through two games with a total duration of less than 50 minutes, OpTic won with a score of 2-0 and advanced to the round playoffs.
Starladder Season 5 will continue today with the first half and winners’ match Group B. Na’Vi will meet Fnatic, while Vega will face SG Esports in the first round.
