Ryoya Joins TeamTeam Replaces Gunnar who was Expelled

A week before the MDL Disneyland Paris Major started, TeamTeam finally got a replacement for Gunnar, which they had issued since ESL One Mumbai 2021. The player is none other than Ryoya from the United States after he was spotted at the TeamTeam training ground.

The inclusion of Ryoya to replace Gunnar is definitely not without controversy. Gunnar himself is a player who contributed to bringing TeamTeam through to the MDL Disneyland Paris Major qualification.

However, along with Newsham, he was simply dismissed as soon as his team was knocked out at the 2021 ESL One Mumbai tournament, even though the tournament was not over yet. Even worse, the families of the two players are ready to support and buy tickets to Paris.

Especially for Gunnar himself, the exact same scenario also happened to him some time ago. Prior to playing in TeamTeam, he played with the team formed by EternalEnvy, the Flying Penguins. He was then expelled and replaced also with Ryoya.

Since the controversy surrounding the release of Gunnar and Newsham, TeamTeam and EternalEnvy have become quite hated figures in the community Dota 2 global. But in the end we can only see whether the decision to remove the two players can bring TeamTeam to get better results at the Major next week.
