Nigma Drops From Starladder Minor Qualifier After Spectacular Ending Game 5

It is undeniable that Europe is the toughest region in the world Dota 2 esports at the moment. In one qualifier there are at least five teams that are eligible to compete in the Major or Minor. But unfortunately the available slots are limited and sometimes a team will have to sit at home and watch.

In this third Major and Minor, the team that has to sit down is Nigma. After falling in the Minor qualification, Kuroky’s team also lost to Alliance in the Minor qualifying final.

As a team that has attended the last DreamLeague Season 13 Major, Nigma has the right to start the ESL One Los Angeles Major qualification from the closed qualifying phase. Unfortunately the competition is very tough and the surprising performance from other teams makes them have to fall out of the qualifiers and look for a second chance in the Minor qualifiers.

During the Minor qualifiers, Nigma’s struggle was also not smooth because they had to lose 0-2 at the hands of Team Liquid. But after that they bulldozed it out lower bracket with a score of 2-0 over Aggressive Mode and revenge against Team Liquid with the same score.

Facing Alliance in the finals, Nigma fought fiercely and both teams had to play until games fifth. Throughout the game, Nigma seems to be ahead with the game and build aggressive from the heroes they use. Meanwhile, the Alliance can only hope that Nicobaby who uses Medusa can lead them to victory.

The Alliance’s hopes seem to be fading when Nigma manages to get Mega Creep. But not long after that a dive reckless make Nigma lose Miracle without buyback. Nicobaby who held one Divine Rapier then bought a second Divine Rapier to do all-in push in mid. Coupled with some minor errors while maintaining base, Nigma quickly lost the Throne and had to hand over the Minor slot to the Alliance.

With this result, Nigma must watch the Major and Minor from their respective homes and prepare for the next Major/Minor.
