LoL Indonesia Will Close, Server Joins SG & MY
After being present for 6 years in Indonesia, in April 2021, the MOBA League of Legends Indonesia (LoL) games were announced to be officially closed on May 14, 2021. As the best form of service, the manager of League of Legends provided a solution in the form of uniting Indonesian and Malaysian servers and Singapore.
For those who still want to play and save their account, Garena provides time from April 17 to May 14 2021. There are also details of server merging after League of Legends Indonesia (LoL) will be closed, described below!
The merging of Indonesia’s LoL server with Singapore/Malaysia occurred on May 14, 2021, which was accompanied by the release of patch 9.10 with a planned release time of 18:59 WIB. This merger indicates that the League of Legends (LoL) server in Indonesia will soon close. Regarding account transfers, mainly given time from April 17 to May 14, 2021. However, in order to capture players who do not know this news, there is an extension of time for the next 3 months from May 15 to August 15, 2021 at 23.59 WIB.
Players who transfer accounts from April 17 to May 14, 2021 before 6:59 PM KST will be awarded prizes based on summoner level, such as:
- Level 01-10: 1 rune page + 3 Hextech chest & key + 10,000 Blue Essence
- Level 11-20: 6 Hextech chest & key+ 20,000 Blue Essence + 2 rune pages
- Level 21-30+: 3 rune pages + 10 Hextech chest & key+ 30,000 Blue Essence
In addition to the prizes mentioned above, before this news came down, there was a bonus in the form of double XP which was given from Friday to Sunday in the period 17-28 April 2021. Double XP is given when the account has moved to the Malaysia/Singapore server.
The waiting time for an account transfer can be up to 24 hours after players submit an account transfer. Please note that purchases and account progress on the ID server will not be transferred to the account on the Singapore/Malaysia server after the transfer request has been submitted. In addition, other points that need to be considered when transferring are the names that can be used only those that are still available on the Singapore/Malaysia server and the account transfer from the Indonesian server is only facilitated to the Singapore/Malaysia server.
Moving an account to a Singapore/Malaysia server doesn’t necessarily make the account 100% identical, but only some of the features. Anything that can be transferred is champion and skin (including ward skin), summoner level, rune page, emote, blue essence, summoner icon, hextech crafting inventory (including Gemstone, Prestige Point & Orange Essence), remaining RP (Riot Points), and border loading screen.
Those that cannot be transferred are as follows: friends list, summoner name, current ranked placement, honor level, champion mastery level, completed mission process, stats: game history, hidden MMR value, item set, ranked placement match, and XP boosts.
When you can play on the Singapore/Malaysia server, players need to pay attention to connection problems. Although it is estimated that the ping of Indonesian players is around 40ms, that number may change from the estimate. The number will change according to the geographical distance of the player which makes it fall below or exceed the 40ms mark.
Apart from connection, the game can only be played in English, but player support can still use Indonesian, in addition to English. Riot Points can still be purchased via the same website address at Kiosgamer. However, the price offered is a standard Singapore/Malaysia server.
If the player has a Chroma Skin, then this item can be transferred or not depending on the base that is owned according to it or not. If not, then it must be adjusted first so that it can be moved. Regarding LoL eSports Indonesia, for Spring 2021, Indonesia is still considered a separate region. But after that, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia will compete as one competitive area.
