Team Liquid Wins Major Title by Winning China Supermajor

The China Supermajor is finally over. After nine days, Team Liquid finally won the Major tournament as well as the last Dota 2 Pro Circuit tournament of the season after defeating Virtus.Pro in the final round.

Before challenging Team Liquid, Virtus.Pro had to face PSG.LGD first. On games first, Virtus.Pro tries to use Terrorblade as a hard carry. Unfortunately their idea didn’t go so well, while Shadow Fiend from PSG.LGD got farm and the level that makes it carry which wiped out Virtus.Pro.

Games both were fierce. PSG.LGD lead throughout the majority early and mid game and should be able to take barracks. But they prefer to do dive into the headquarters of Virtus.Pro and ended in disaster. Rodjer’s brilliant performance with Skywrath Mage also saved Virtus.Pro many times from defeat until they finally turned things around and won games second.

Enter games third Virtus.Pro decided to play more seriously. With lineup and a very aggressive playing style, PSG.LGD which relies on Invoker and Phantom Lancer as two core not getting room for farming. Slowly Virtus.Pro loot one by one lane PSG.LGD before finally winning the match and advancing to the final round against Team Liquid.

It feels like nothing ending who is more worthy of a final in the last tournament Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2021 with a match between the two best teams. This was also seen in the quality of the matches that took place, where both teams played until games final.

On games first Virtus.Pro decided to try Invoker and Juggernaut as two core their main. Throughout early game, Virtus.Pro can get some kill Sun Strike and gained significant momentum. Unfortunately some team fight lost the momentum and Team Liquid took the lead. Virtus.Pro is still able to provide resistance, but weaknesses lineup they couldn’t be covered up and they had to admit defeat at games first.

Virtus.Pro tried to reply with lineup who focus on skirmish utilise damage amplifier from Bloodseeker. Throughout the game, Virtus.Pro always manages to take one or two kill quickly before doing team fight blessing burst damage what they have plus debuff from Bloodrage. Team Liquid admits defeat at games second in just 36 minutes.

Enter games third, Team Liquid once again excels in terms of draft with last pick Drow Rangers. Perfect execution on phase laning also make lineup they can snowball quite easily and can’t be stopped by Virtus.Pro. Team Liquid won games third after 28 minutes.

Games fourth turns Virtus.Pro who plays very fast. The various rotations of Chen and Pangolier of Virtus.Pro leave absolutely no room for Miracle- who uses Tinker to develop. With all the important heroes left far behind, Team Liquid can’t help but surrender games fourth to Virtus.Pro in just 23 minutes.

Games fifth was pretty much a draw, but Virtus.Pro holds the guarantee late game with Medusa getting quite a lot farm. Team Liquid then did gank to Virtus.Pro forest and kill Medusa. From there, Team Liquid took the lead and put pressure on Virtus.Pro. Difficulty doing farm, Virtus.Pro’s movements become predictable. One team fight in lane The bottom finally secured their lead and over time won games final.

This is the first Major title that Team Liquid has won this season after failing many times in the final round or the top four. This lifted their position in the Pro Circuit position to second place, but most importantly it gave them positive momentum to welcome The International 2021.
