1. Go to the password setting page
You must first login to your Epic Games Store account to activate this Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). If you are already logged in, you can open the following link to enter the password setting page.
2. Choose one of three types of Authentication
If you have opened the password setting page, you scroll down and you will find the TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION section. Like the picture below.
Here are the types of Authentication that the Epic Games Store offers.
- Authenticator App, a type of authentication that uses third-party authentication applications such as
- Google Authenticator
- LassPass Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
- SMS Authentication, a type of authentication that will send a verification code to your phone number via SMS media. Who has registered in your account.
- Email Authentication, the type of authentication that will send a verification code to the email you used to register for the Epic Games Store.
If you want it easy, you can choose Email or SMS only.
3. Enter the verification code that has been sent
If you have chosen from the three types, then you can continue the verification. The easiest is to use the Email and SMS method, so if you choose that you will receive a code from the Epic Games Store. If using App Authenticator, just enter the code that appears in the app.
