Dota Pro Circuit 3rd Major 2021, ESL One Los Angeles Postponed Due to Coronavirus

The Coronavirus outbreak is clearly impacting many events including esports events held in venue big. One of them is the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 third Major tournament, the ESL One Los Angeles Major. Through its official announcement, the tournament has been postponed indefinitely.

This news first appeared from one of the esports insider Slasher. Initially he said that ESL would not include an audience in the round playoffs. But updates the latest from him indicates that the tournament will be cancelled completely.

Not long after, ESL then officially announced the postponement of ESL One Los Angeles. The main reason is (again) the worsening Coronavirus outbreak in the United States. So bad, recently President Donald Trump also issued a travel tires for European residents wishing to enter the United States within the next 30 days.

This is not the first time ESL has had to make difficult decisions regarding their tournaments. IEM Katowice 2021 in early March, for example, had to be held without the audience watching live. Not only that, along with ESL One Los Angeles, their CS:GO tournament, will be held entirely online on line. But this is the first time events they must be delayed from a predetermined schedule.

ESL itself has not released confirmation whether their Los Angeles tournament will still be held or not. But even if it does, it looks like the third Major will once again be held without an audience live.
