Despite coming out as champion, Nigma’s journey in this Minor tournament was not smooth. In the first round of the group phase, they lost to Fighting Pandas with a score of 2-1. But after that they managed to overthrow Furia Esports 2-0 and took revenge against Fighting Pandas with a score of 2-1. Entering a lot playoffs Even Nigma Esports seems to be still trying to grope meta-game and the opponents they face. Facing the favorite RNG champion in the first round playoffs, Nigma should come down to lower bracket after losing by a score of 1-2. Then take on Gambit Esports at lower bracket, Nigma looks likely to be knocked out after trailing 0-1. But two games successively Kuroky and his team managed to turn things around.

The victory over Gambit seems to be the turning point for Nigma Esports in this tournament. Facing GeekFam in the second round lower bracket, Nigma managed to win by a score of 2-0 and advance to the finals to once again face RNG.

RNG managed to seize games first. But after that despite having to struggle Nigma managed to win three games consecutive. That way they are entitled to come out as champions, taking home a prize of US$72,000, 140 Dota Pro Circuit points, and most importantly a slot to DreamLeague Season 13 Leipzig which will take place on January 18th.
