Morph, Boom ID and Rubic Represent Indonesia in the 2021 Red Bull Mobile Esports Final

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Three esports teams from Indonesia, Morph, Boom ID and Rubic represent Indonesia for the final of the Red Bull Mobile Esports Open (MEO) 2021 Season 3. The final match will take place virtually at the end of March.

The three esports teams from Indonesia will compete with teams from other countries to compete for Hearthstone, Teamfight Tactics (TFT) and PUBG Mobile. Especially for the Morph team, which is the national champion, this team was founded in early February 2021 by Reza Oktovian and Matthew in collaboration with Shinta Bubu.

One of the goals for the formation of the team is to become a forum for talent development and talent development for Indonesian players. The Cooperation and Business Manager from Mineski as the representative of the Red Bull MEO organizer, Jati Pratcoyo, said that the involvement of the team from Indonesia cannot be separated from the size of the esports market in the country.

“Indonesia is participating in the world mobile gaming championship this year, because it is the largest mobile games market in Southeast Asia with a total number of players reaching 51 million in 2021. Especially since the COVID-19 pandemic, player growth averages 10-15% per month,” said Jati Pratcoyo in an official statement received by the media in Jakarta, Thursday (25/3/2021).

MEO 2021 involves national champions from 28 countries. In line with the highest tier of this competition, the world final will present fans with a digital celebration of the festival of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, namely Istanbul; including virtual tours, live broadcasts to interactive challenges.

Istanbul’s unique location, which lies between the continents of Asia and Europe, makes it a perfect venue for the digital battleground for the Red Bull MEO world championship. The tournament venue will feature 3 iconic locations in Istanbul steeped in history for this Red Bull MEO Season 3 competition.

The Hearthstone Competition will take place in the Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest markets in the world; the TFT tournament will take place in the dynamic Ortakoy Square, while the PUBG Mobile final will be divided into 2 regional event championships East and West, to provide the best experience for players.

The inauguration of the East and West champions of Red Bull MEO Season 3 will take place at Haydarpasa Railway Station and Haydarpasa Harbor. The final spectators will be involved in a treasure search game in the PUBG Mobile area. In addition, virtual tours of Istanbul’s iconic places including Sultanahmet Square and the Galata Tower are available, video content, interactive to mini games.

Istanbul already hosted the Red Bull MEO National Final for Turkey in July last year; a very special event where players compete in their cars on a moving boat to ensure social distancing health protocols.
