2 Ways to Enter Download Mode on a Samsung Phone (Complete + Pictures)

What is Download Mode? Download Mode or what is commonly called Odin Mode, this is a condition where we can re-flash the firmware on a Samsung cellphone with software ODIN Flasher or other flashing software via Laptop / Computer. Then, if we want to update the Android operating system, then our Samsung cellphone must be in Download Mode / Odin Mode first.

1. Using Combination Button

This first method to enter Download Mode you need to use a key combination. What buttons are they? Just follow the steps on how to enter Download Mode on a Samsung cellphone with the key combination below.

1. Make sure your Samsung cellphone is turned off.

2. Then, please press “power button + home button + volume down button” simultaneously. Hold for a while until the Samsung logo appears.

2. Using a Laptop / Computer (Without Buttons)

The second way to enter Download Mode on a Samsung cellphone is with the help of a Laptop / Computer. This method does not need to press the combination button on your Samsung cellphone. However, you need to download the application on your laptop / computer because this method uses software “Samsung 300K Tools“. Just follow the steps below.

1. Please download Samsung 300K Tools on your laptop / computer first.

2. Then, please connect your Samsung cellphone to your laptop / computer using a USB cable (your Samsung cellphone is in a normal state / on).

3. Then, please run the software Samsung 300K Tools on your laptop/computer.

4. Then a message will appear “PHONE DETECTED” . As in the image below. However, before that you have to install the driver correctly. If not, please install the Samsung driver on your laptop / computer first.

5. Then, please click the image RESISTENCE which is on your left. As in the image below.

6. Done. Please wait for a while until your Samsung cellphone enters Download Mode automatically.
