Anthem First Impressions - Good, But
Good… But…
This First Impression is written based on my experience playing for approx 5 o’clock.
Anthem, game made Electronic Arts which is quite trending in the gaming world these days. A game that is touted as a serious competitor to the series Destiny this has a few things to talk about. For those who may not know, this Anthem tells how the human colony managed to find new energy that would later be used for human survival. You could say this story is similar to stories like the series Doom. And like a fictional story, there are two sides that fight over this energy.
Players will play as a Freelancers which is the protagonist. Players become a robot pilot named Javelin. After you reach a certain point you will be given the option to choose 1 of 4 Javelin Class, namely: Interceptor, Ranger, Storm, Colossus (for full details I will give in Full Review).
There are some people who think that this game “cheats” the Destiny series. The answer is yes, but only in some ways. Like there are similarities in the exploration of a place and also the existence of Public Event. Public Events are activities that you can meet when you are Free Roaming to collect materials for crafting. Similar to other games, in Anthem you will also find Rarity Items for every weapon or additional weapon you encounter. And just like other games, items with rarity Legendary very hard to get. I’m sure this game update will add missions or dungeons where players can get certain weapons or special clothes that can be obtained when completing the mission.
In Anthem, you guys can not directly access weapons or other items when you are in mode Free Roaming. So like it or not, all the weapons that you collect during the game, you can only access when you have chosen to visit The Forge. The Forge is a menu where players can change the Javelin they use, weapons, and additional weapons. Honestly, this is something that is less wearing for me personally. Because like it or not, you have to enter The Forge, where you have to leave your Free Roaming activities.
I play this game using a computer platform and you could say my personal computer is in the Medium category. But to be able to keep the FPS at 60 is quite difficult because you could say this game requires hardware which is quite high. In addition, the choice between doing missions or returning to the city will also be very time consuming for you if you use a computer with hardware which is in the low specification. Because I often find some parts in this game long in rendering some objects.
With the following conclusions:
- Do you like cool robots that can fly like Iron Man?
- Do you like stories? science fiction Where do humans explore new technologies?
- You like playing games open world?
- Do you like Destiny games?
Then this game is suitable for you to try. Even though it requires hardware tall computer. And for sure you will feel biased towards some things. But if you are not so interested in the story which you will understand in the middle of the game, mode 3rd person shooter, and also too heavy for the computer, this game is not for you.
