Xbox Boss Apologizes For Lack Of Stock Xbox Series X/S

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Xbox boss Phil Spencer has apologized for the shortage of Xbox Series X/S, which is expected to continue into 2021. From the time the Xbox Series X/S pre-ordered in September until its release on November 10, sales were quickly running out. As a result, many gamers cannot buy and play Microsoft’s next generation console.

“We need more consoles. I heard a lot of fans say it was really hard to get that console. I’m really sorry for that. We have been preparing it for almost two months and trying to supply as many products as possible to the store, but the demand is very high,” said Spencer while speaking at the GlitchCon event, as quoted by from VGC.

“It was extraordinary. The developers did an amazing job. It’s been a crazy year with all sorts of hurdles to complete games and platforms. My compliments go out to all the team, both Sony (PlayStation 5) and us, and everyone on the third parties trying to get our hands on our products. Seeing this get done, it’s really great.”

Xbox chief financial officer Tim Stuart said Microsoft expects the Xbox Series X/S supply shortage to continue into April 2021. During the product launch last week, one of the retailers, Amazon, sent an email to customers who pre-ordered Xbox Series X, that they may not receive those next-generation consoles before Christmas.
