The PS5 Version of Resident Evil Village is Only Half the Xbox Version?

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Resident Evil Village (RE8) is one of the most anticipated games this year, especially for lovers of the survival horror genre. Planned for release on May 7, 2021, RE8 will be available for last-gen consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), next-generation consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series), and PC.

For the PS5 version, Resident Evil Village is rumored to have a size of around 27.325GB at launch, excluding the first day’s patch. This was revealed by the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account. The Twitter account also mentions that the game will be available for pre-loading starting May 5 for PS5.

Although there has been no official announcement, if this news is true then the PS5 version of RE8 is only about half the size of the Xbox version of the game. According to Microsoft Store records, Resident Evil Village will take up about 50GB for the Xbox console version. However, these differences are said to be related to room for updates and DLC of the game in the future.

Meanwhile, on a separate occasion, Capcom has warned gamers to avoid the early access offer of the game that was just released on May 7, 2021.

In an email to the press, as reported by Kotaku, Capcom warned that there were emails circulating claiming to contain an Early Access invitation to Resident Evil Village. Capcom called the email a “phishing attempt by an unauthorized third party”, which used a “no-reply(at)capcom(dot)com” email address.

Capcom warns if gamers receive one of these emails, not to reply or download the attached file. Instead of serving it, Capcom asked if gamers got the email to delete it immediately.
