Sony’s Official PS5 Disassembly Video Reveals Console Specs!
Sony has released the official PlayStation 5 demolition video. VP of mechanical design department, Yasuhiro Ootori, opens the console and describes each component of the device.
In the video, he gives details of everything he sees when he opens the console. Shows the materials used and how they help make the next generation of consoles.
He said, Sony started making this PS5 in 2021, two years after the release of the PS4. With this video, fans can now see and understand the intricacies of making the PS5.

- Sizes: 104mm long, 390mm high, and 2600mm thick
- One USB Type-C port, three Type-A Hi-Speed USB ports, one Lan port, one HDMI port, and one power port
- Double-sided air intake fan with 120mm diameter and 45mm thick
- Two dust catchers with vacuum fan for cleaning the console
- One unit Ultra HD Blu-ray drive
- CPU with 8 cores and 16 threads up to 3.5 GHz, the x86-64-AMD Ryzen “Zen2”
- GPU up to 2.23 GHz and delivers 10.3 TFLOPS, AMD Radeon RDNA 2-based graphics engine
- 8 GDDR6 with a maximum bandwidth of 448GB per second
- Storage 825GB SSD with custom SSD controller
- Using Liquid metal for console cooling (Take 2 years to be able to use this method)
