Many Cheaters, Activision Banned 30,000 Call of Duty Warzone Players

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Activision has again punished its players who are proven to have cheated in the Call of Duty: Warzone game. His efforts to eradicate cheaters have now resulted in 30,000 accounts being banned from the battle royale game.

Activision has stepped up its anti-cheat efforts recently. Previously there were three waves of bans as a harsh punishment given in February. Activision itself claims Warzone has attracted 85 million players according to their data as of December 2021.

On February 2, the company claimed to have permanently banned 300,000 players worldwide since the game launched in March 2021. Activision said it would enforce ongoing security efforts across the COD franchise, including Warzone, Modern Warfare, and Black Ops.

“We know cheaters are constantly looking for vulnerabilities, and we continue to dedicate our resources 24 hours a week, to identifying and fighting scams, including aimbots, wallhacks, trainers, stat hacks, texture hacks, rank hacks, injectors, hex editors and tools. any third-party software used to manipulate game data or memory,” he said.

Activision subsidiary Raven Software also confirmed Tuesday that it has released a hotfix to combat the “new occurrence of an infinite tactical bug” that has become a recurring problem in the game. This bug if exploited can be abused to heal the player’s health indefinitely while in gas, guaranteeing the user a win.

The current season of Warzone will be the last to take place in Verdansk. At the end of Season 2, the game will finally switch to a second 1980s-themed map, with new locations based around the Black Ops series.
