OneXPlayer, Handheld Gaming PC Feels Like PSP

GAMEFINITY.ID, Denpasar – OneXPlayer is a handheld gaming PC that has a screen size of 8.4 “, this handheld gaming PC has specifications that are not half-hearted, this handheld gaming PC can use the 11th generation Core i7 in its highest series. Roughly speaking, OneXPlayer is similar to the PSP or Nintendo Switch but with a much larger size.

This OneXPlayer uses Intel Tigerlake-U combined with Intel XE as its GPU, in all configurations this OneXPlayer has a RAM capacity of 16GB, you can configure the storage up to 2TB SSD NVMe and lastly, OneXPlayer uses a 59 Wh battery. For comparison, the Asus Tuf FX504GD has a 48 Wh battery with a screen size of 15.6″.

This OneXPlayer is not the first PC gaming handheld, some time ago GPD announced GPD Win 3 as their PC gaming handheld and was followed by Aya with their Aya Neo. Of the two handhelds, OneXPlayer has the largest screen size. The OneXPlayer has an 8.4″ wide screen, the Aya Neo is 7″ and the smallest is GPD Win at 5.5″. So don’t expect you to be able to put OneXPlayer in your pants pocket.

If you are curious, the weight of this OneXPlayer is around 825 Gr with a thickness of 2.5 cm or about 2.5 times as thick as the iPhone 12 Pro. It makes sense that this handheld gaming PC is that thick, because OneXPlayer has to cool this Intel Tigerlake-U CPU which has a TDP of 20-28 Watts, they really squeeze the performance of this Tigerlake-U to the point of exhaustion, therefore they include 2 fan as evidenced by the presence of 2 intake holes in the back.

Because this OneXPlayer uses a ULV CPU with an Intel XE iGPU, it is hoped that you will lower your gaming expectations a little from this handheld gaming PC, Intel XE is already fast but can’t beat a dedicated GPU like the GTX 1050 from Nvidia. This handheld gaming PC can be used to play desktop PC class games, which is more than impressive even at low settings.

On the one hand, this OneXPlayer can be said to be a powerful netbook, roughly speaking, this OneXPlayer is no different from a notebook laptop in general, it’s just that the size is like a netbook, and there are permanent joysticks on the left and right.

So this OneXPlayer has an accessory in the form of a keyboard cover if users want to use OneXPlayer like a netbook. The port owned by OneXPlayer can be said to be complete, because it has 2x USB Type-C (40Gbps, it is not known whether it supports Thunderbolt or not), 1x USB Type-A, 1x Micro-SD Card, 1x 3.5mm Jack Audio.

If you are curious about the specifications, here are the specifications of OneXPlayer

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-1135G7 to Intel Core i7 1185G7
  • GPU: Intel XE (80 EU for Intel Core i5-1135G7, 96 EU for all Intel Core i7)

  • storage: 512GB – 2TB SSD Nvme
  • Screen: 8.4″ 2560×1440 IPS (Claimed 100% sRGB)

The price priced by OneXPlayer is relatively reasonable and seems relatively cheap for a netbook/notebook/handhecd gaming PC (whatever you call it) because this OneXPlayer can be included in the Ultrabook realm.
