Becoming the Host of the PMGC Grand Final, Dubai is Ready to Become a Leading Esports Center in the World
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – A total of 16 teams, two of which are from Indonesia, will compete for a prize of US$2 million at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) Season Zero Grand Final in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 21-24 2021. The grand final match, based on an official statement from the organizers received by the media, will be broadcast live to the whole world. The representatives of Indonesia are Bigetron Red Aliens and Aerowolf Limax. PMGC Season Zero Grand Final itself also received support from the Dubai Department of Tourism and Marketing (Dubai Tourism) and the Dubai Sports Council.

The selection of Dubai as the location for the PMGC Grand Finals is a reflection of our strong partnership with PUBG Mobile, and will further enhance Dubai’s position as a leading esports hub in the world,” said Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM) CEO Issam Kazim.
According to Issam Kazim hosting the PMGC is a further confirmation of Dubai’s reputation as a host of high-end international sporting events, with ultramodern infrastructure and facilities, including luxury hotels and world-famous tourist attractions. Dubai was also one of the first to start flight operations after the COVID-19 lockdown, and is ready to welcome tourists. Meanwhile, Director of PUBG MOBILE Global Esports, James Yang admitted that he was proud to be able to hold the PMGC Final in Dubai even though it was not open to the public.
“Although this final event is not open to the public offline due to the pandemic situation, we still want to give our best. The PMGC Finals will be our biggest event ever, demonstrating the scale and power of mobile esports.” he said.
The 16 esports teams that competed in the PMGC Final Dubai were 4AM China, Bigetron Red Aliens and Aerowolf Limax from Indonesia. 3 teams from Thailand: RRQ AThena, Secret Jin and POWER888 KPS; one team from the Commonwealth of Nations, namely Konina Power.
Two teams from Turkey: Klas Digital Athletic and Futbolist, another team from China: Nova Esports, one team from Nepal: Abrupt Slayers, one team from Brazil: A7 eSports, one team from Mongolia: ZEUS ESPORT, one team from Russia: Natus Vincere, one team from Malaysia: Team Secret, and one team from Bangladesh: A1 eSports.
