Alter Ego lost, Bren Esports challenged RRQ Hoshi in the M2 lower bracket final

Alter Ego became the first Indonesian representative to fall in M2.

The M2 World Championship 2021 lower bracket semifinal match between Alter Ego and Bren Esports was completed on Saturday (23/1/2021). Alter Ego, who came to this match to keep going and make up for the defeat in the group phase, actually had to lose again to Bren Esports with a score of 1-2.

Alter Ego was actually able to play very well and promisingly in the first game, where they played so solidly from the first minute. They played as a unit and succeeded in destroying the pattern of Bren Esports’ game.

Yam who returned to appear extraordinary with his Yu Zhong, plus the aggressiveness of LeoMurphy with hero Chou made Bren Esports seem confused, almost every team fight.

The advantages that Alter Ego had from the early game managed to make them dominate the map, after several times they succeeded in stealing Bren Esports’ orange and purple buffs and keeping all of their turrets standing firmly.

Without the need for God’s help, Alter Ego succeeded in breaking down the last defense of Bren Esports in the 14th minute and wiped out all the opposing heroes to ensure victory with a kill score of 22-5.

While in the second game, Alter Ego had dominated the game from the early minutes, but was successfully reversed by Bren Esports. The team fight seemed rushed and forced one by one the Alter Ego players were caught and had to retreat.

In the 16th minute, through an attack with Lord, Bren Esports managed to mess up Alter Ego’s base. This attack was actually successfully blocked by Alter Ego until it successfully beat Bren Esports, but the few remaining minions managed to ensure Bren Esports’ victory with a kill score of 16-7.



While in the third game, Bren Esports managed to maintain their brilliant performance in the second game and controlled the game from the first minute. The neat pattern of play and the ferocity of KarlTzy who played using Lancelot made Bren Esports successfully win in the 18th minute with a kill score of 23-6.

This result has earned Bren Esports the right to advance to the M2 lower bracket final to face the waiting RRQ Hoshi. This match is scheduled to be held on Sunday (1/24/2021). As for Alter Ego, this defeat made them have to be willing to end their journey in this year’s world championship.
