Ultimate Team Mode contributes $1.49 billion to EA's 2021 revenue

EA again recorded a record income in Ultimate Team mode in 2021 where its latest financial report shows that the game mode has provided a total revenue of US $ 1.49 billion.

That’s an increase of over US$100 million over the previous year, where Ultimate Team generated US$1.37 billion in revenue.

Ultimate Team is one of the most lucrative modes in the gaming industry, where millions of players around the world buy in-game currency to collect player cards while competing against other players.

This record also marks the achievement of EA to break the US $ 1 billion mark for three consecutive years with only one game mode. This trend does not show a decline because FIFA and Madden, which are the main games of the Ultimate Team mode, continue to develop in the gaming industry market.

If the trend continues, the Ultimate Team mode is predicted to break an annual revenue of US$2 billion in the next few years.

EA’s 2021 entry isn’t supported by NBA Live which didn’t launch this year to support game development. So the launch of NBA Live later is believed to be increasingly boosting EA’s coffers.
