A beast, peeking at the specifications of the Asus ROG Phone 5

GAMEFINITY.ID, Denpasar – Asus recently brought their ROG Phone 5 line to Indonesia. After several months of global release, it’s finally coming to Indonesia officially. Asus brings all the configurations of the ROG Phone 5, a total of 3 specification configurations that are brought, namely with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, the Pro variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and finally the highest aka the Ultimate variant with 18GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Let’s see what the specifications are like from the Asus ROG Phone 5

Body and Screen

Asus ROG Phone 5 uses a body made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus glass from the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 at the back with the sides made of aluminum. For the screen using an AMOLED screen measuring 6.78 “with a resolution of 2448 x 1080 pixels, this screen has a refresh rate of 144Hz with 300Hz Touch Sampling, not to forget that this screen panel supports HLG, HDR10, and HDR10+. This phone is quite heavy at 238Gr.

There are slight differences in design between ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and ROG Phone 5 or ROG Phone 5 Pro. For the Ulimate variant, there is ROG Vision aka PMOLED Monochrome measuring 1” on the back of the body, while for the standard and Pro only the ROG logo which is equipped with RGB lights that you can adjust the lights however you like. For Color, the standard and Pro variants will have 2 colors, namely: Phantom Black and Storm White, while the Ultimate only has Storm White.

Performance

By using the Snapdragon 888 chipset accompanied by LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 Storage according to the configuration you buy, the performance of this cellphone is like a wild animal ready to devour all the tasks you give it. With the 3D Vapor Chamber and the AeroActive Coller 5 accessory, it is certain that the Asus ROG Phone 5 will experience very minimum thermal throtling.

Battery and Charging

All variants of the Asus ROG Phone 5 have 3 cameras, namely: a 64MP Quad Bayer Sony IMX 686 main camera, a 124-degree ultrawide 13MP OmniVision OV13B and 5MP macro camera, and a front camera with 24MP Quad Bayer OmniVision OV24B1Q resolution.

Every time you buy any variant of the Asus ROG Phone 5 you will get a free hard case, but for purchases from the Pro and Ultimate variants you will get an additional AeroActive Cooler 5 in the box. You can also buy other accessories such as, Kunai 3 Gamepad, Professional Dock, ROG Clip.

Sweet extra features

It doesn’t stop there, all the ROG Phone 5 variants have sweet features. There are 2 USB Type-C that can be used to charge or install accessories, NFC, Dual Sim, 3.5mm Audio Jack, fingerprint on the screen, and most importantly for gamers is the R1 and L1 trigger on the side of the body.

Price

Because there are 3 variants of the Asus ROG Phone 5, the cheapest is the standard variant (8GB RAM and 128GB Storage) priced at Rp. 10 million, the Pro variant (12GB RAM and 256GB Storage) is priced at Rp. 15 million and the most expensive is the Ultimate variant (18GB RAM and 512GB Storage) at a price of Rp. 19 Million. For the Ultimate variant, it will be available from August 2021.
