The Kuala Lumpur Major Slot Allocation Announced, Qualification Registration Now Open

Not long after the tournament was announced, The Kuala Lumpur Major finally announced the quota slots for each region. Not only that, registration for the qualification is also open!

The Kuala Lumpur Major is the first Major tournament for the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit. With 16 teams participating, this tournament will compete for US$1 million and most importantly a total of 15000 Pro Circuit.

In accordance with this year’s Pro Circuit regulations, each region will get two slots qualifications equally. One slots again will be awarded to the winner of the Minor which will take place just before this Major. Then the remaining three slots will be allocated to three different regions according to Valve’s decision.

For The Kuala Lumpur Major, the three regions that get slots additional ones are Europe, China, and North America. This means that the three regions get three slots qualifications, while the rest only had two slots.

Qualification Opened!

Until this news was published, there was no information regarding the qualification scheme. This means that we do not know for sure whether there will be open and regional qualifiers as usual, how many teams will compete in the regional qualifiers, how many teams will be invited to the regional qualifiers, and how many teams will be taken from the open qualifiers.

Regardless, The Kuala Lumpur Major qualifiers are open! This Major Qualification will take place twice for each region. Specifically for the Southeast Asia qualifiers will be held on the dates below:

Qualification 1: 10-11 September 2021
Qualification 2: 13-14 September 2021
