How to Get Resident Evil Village Courtyard Key

To find the Courtyard key in Resident Evil Village is quite easy. All you have to do is go to the wine room upstairs and look inside the cupboard. This moment is quite stressful because along the Courtyard Key search you will find various unexpected things.

The Courtyard Key allows you to unlock more parts of Dimitrescu’s Castle, so the game experience will be even more exciting and of course includes parts of finding 4 angel masks, escaping, and finding Rose.

Find the Maroon Eye Ring

The Courtyard Key is located in the wine room which is directly up the main staircase found in the foyer. However, here you can not do anything.

Instead, you should take the Maroon Eye ring that you found when you first entered the castle and turn right.

In this hallway will be a carved door that has a missing eye. If you played the demo, you know what to do here. Check the ring in your inventory and take out the Maroon Eye, then place the eye on the door.

And… Don’t be surprised when you open the door there will be a female vampire who appears behind you.

All you can do is go through the door you just opened and keep running until you can’t run anymore.

You will see yourself in the dressing room where there will be a small wall lined with boards at the back.

Please break through and jump into the hole to escape from the vampire. Now you will be in a dark and damp dungeon.

Pass through the prison cell, some decrepit and smaller enemies will appear. At least there will be about seven enemies that you meet.

Once past them, one of Dimitrescu’s daughters will find you. Then go through the maze of barred doors until you reach a room and he will jump at you.

Defeat One of Dimitrescu’s Daughters

Here you will fight with one of Dimitrescu’s daughters. For gamers who don’t know the weakness of this enemy, it may be a little difficult to defeat it.

And you need to know that Dimitrescu’s three children are weak to cold air. During the cut scene where he jumps at you, Ethan will break the window and a fight ensues.

Bring a Bottle to the Wine Room

After defeating the mini-boss, next you will go to a room that contains lots of pieces of meat and other strange things.

In front of you, in the middle of the room, you will see a pot or bucket filled with blood with a wine bottle in it.

This is the famous Sanguis Virginis. Next, bring this bottle of wine to solve the puzzle in the wine room. Then head back to the Main Hall and up to the Tasting Room on the second floor.

Place the Bottle on the Stand

Now you are in the dining room with the courtyard door still locked. Head back up to the wine room, just above and across from the stairs.

Then interact with the gold booth at the end of the room. That way the secret cupboard will open and there is gunpowder on your left, and there is a small box on the right. In the box contains the Courtyard Key.
