Sony Introduces New VR Controller for PlayStation 5
Sony recently announced a PlayStation 5 Virtual Reality controller that is rumored to bring immersive experiences to the future of PS5 VR.
The controller has a shape like an “orb”, where later players will feel and interact directly with the game more deeply.
Some of the main features in the DualSense Controller such as Haptic Feedback, Finger touch detection, Adaptive Trigger, to analog sticks will also be present in the next-gen VR Controller.
Meanwhile, this VR controller is reportedly able to detect the user’s fingers without having to press a button in certain areas such as the current VR controller made by HTC to Valve.
“One thing that you must be aware of from this controller is its unique design, where the shape can make you hold this controller more naturally when playing games that have high freedom.,” said Hideaki Nishino, SIE’s VP of Platform Planning.
Nishino also added that currently the controller has been designed by the development team to remain comfortable when used with different hand sizes.
