Review : Xenom oem Clevo W650EH2 – True Gaming Experience Start Here
Overview
Geforce 740M is still Kepler architecture, and some reviews prove, GT740M has an average performance of 15% above the GT640M and slightly different about 4% below the GT650M GDDR3 version. As is known, the performance of the GT640M series and the rebadged version of the GT740M, is most proportionally in tandem with an LCD with a resolution of 1366 × 768. It is not recommended to play games with a data resolution of 1280 x 720. For this reason, some gaming notes that use the Gefoce 740M, on average, still have a resolution of 1366 x 768, even though it has a 15.6″ LCD.
Xenom OEM Clevo W650EH2
As the Pemmz Team reviewed this time, it’s a custom 15.6″ OEM notebook from Clevo that is equipped with a Geforce GT740M 2GB GDDR3. Coming with a resolution of 1366 x 768 as a stock option, the Geforce GT740M which has capabilities slightly below the GT650M makes the Xenom W650EH2 provide an upgrade option to full HD 1920 x 1080.

As a comparison product, Pemmz Holics can use the MSI CX61 which has the same price range, unfortunately it still uses the Geforce 6 series, therefore but it is more comparable when compared to the ASUS N56VB which both use the Geforce GT740M plus a 15.6″ LCD which has a price tag of 12,050. 000 for Intel Core i7 3630QM specifications, 4GB/1600 RAM, and 1TB HDD. For equivalent specifications, the W650EH2 is priced at around Rp. 1,000,000, plus the HDD configuration that you get is already in mode RAID.
Design
When unboxing the Xenom OEM Clevo W650EH2 for the first time, the Pemmz team was a little surprised to see a slightly unusual design from the design of Clevo products in general. Barebone W650EH2 is arguably quite sweet. Similar to the concept of modern notebooks that are thinning in the front area.
Just as modern notebooks pursue a slimmer look by creating a more square shape, so does the Xenom W650EH2, a design like this will create a wider impression when viewed from the side.
There is only a power button on the Xenom W650EH2 workstation area without any shortcut/toogle buttons for certain functions. Everything is moved to the keyboard with the help of the “Fn” key (a combination of two keys).

Performance
If you look at all the synthetic benchmark results in the style of Future Mark above, it doesn’t seem like this is the maximum performance from the combination of Ivy-Bridge and Geforce 7 series. Benchmark software compatibility with the geforce 7 series is the main suspect for the non-maximum final score, apart from drivers, of course.
Cinebench R11.5 is somewhat different from other synthetic benchmark scores. For OpenGL points, the value looks maximal. Can be compared with the performance of the GT640M and GT650M that we reviewed earlier. The value obtained is also high when compared with notebooks from other brands that provide GT740M.
Real Gaming Benchmark
At this point, the lack of perfect drivers for the Geforce 7 series is even more noticeable. In some games like Crysis 3 and Dead Space 3, the performance of a GT640M is still better. Especially in Dead Space 3, GT740 lags behind in both low and high presets, worst when the preset is low, the lag touches 20%.
Conclusion
Xenom W650EH2 is perfect for those of you who are looking for a multimedia notebook that has a gaming gene. The performance of the Geforce GT740M is quite reliable for modern games even with a note, you should set the resolution at 1280 x 720p. For those of you who take the option of upgrading to a Full HD resolution LCD, by following our tips here, you may still be able to feel the gaming sensation at a resolution of 1920 x 1080p.
