Recap of Day Two of MDL Changsha Major Group Phase

The second and last day of the MDL Changsha Major group phase ended with a few surprises. PSG.LGD, which was initially seeded in Group B, performed poorly on the second day and had to give up the top position of the group to another team. Meanwhile, Team Secret is firmly at the top of Group A.

PSG.LGD’s performance was quite bad on the second day of the group stage. Facing Vici Gaming, VGJ.Storm, and TNC, PSG.LGD was only able to hold TNC to a draw, and lost 0-2 to Vici Gaming and VGJ.Storm.

This makes Vici Gaming rise to the top of the group and qualify for the second round playoff upper bracket today. Meanwhile, PSG.LGD fell into fourth place in Group B behind VGJ.Storm and TNC. That means, they have to start the round playoffs from lower bracket best of one along with Newbee.

Team Secret performed almost perfectly on the second day of Group A. Facing IG and IG Vitality, Team Secret won one draw and one win. Following in second and third place are Mineski and OG.

Mineski himself can actually force tie-breaker to fight for the group winner with Team Secret. Unfortunately, the defeat to OG on the second day made them have to settle for second place in the group. Finally, in the fourth and fifth place, there are IG and IG Vitality.

MDL Changsha Major will continue today with rounds playoffs, starting from the first two rounds in upper bracket. The following is bracket for playoffs:
