OG, Team Empire, Mineski Qualify Captains Draft 4.0

After repeatedly failing to qualify, Team Empire finally got a Minor ticket Dota 2 their first time after winning the CIS regional Captains Draft 4.0 qualification. Meanwhile, familiar names such as OG, Mineski, and Complexity followed in their respective regions.

When compared to Minor or Major qualifications Dota 2 Previously, CIS qualifiers for Captains Draft 4.0 were slightly lighter for Team Empire. They didn’t have to deal with Virtus.Pro or Na’Vi, who didn’t participate. Facing an opponent who was relatively evenly matched in composition, they managed to get away without ever dropping to the lower bracket.

The same condition also occurs in OG in Europe. With Team Secret being invited and Team Liquid not participating, OG’s journey in this qualifier was relatively easy. Especially with some issues related to scheduling, they qualify for the final qualifier with walk out. Facing Mousesports in the final, they won quite easily with a score of 3-1.

Unlike the case with Complexity, Mineski, and TKTK who face tough opponents in their region. Complexity should initially come down to lower bracket after losing in the first round against VGJ.Storm. But they managed to rise from lower bracket and dominantly beat Immortals 3-0 in the final.

Mineski faced off against several strong Southeast Asian teams such as TNC, Clutch Gamers, and WG.Unity. But it turned out to be not a significant problem. They managed to win the qualifiers without going down to lower bracket.

The Chinese qualifiers are also filled with very strong teams. However, through several fierce matches, Vici Gaming managed to come out as champion and win a ticket to the main tournament after defeating Newbee in the final with a score of 3-2.

Finally, after being frequently represented by SG Esports, this time the South American region will be represented by Midas Club. Even though their team name is still foreign, they consist of some quite familiar players such as hFn, tavo, and KINGRD.

The six teams were awaited by Evil Geniuses and Team Secret who received direct invitations. They will fight each other for total fight prize pool US $ 300,000 (approximately IDR 4 billion) and 300 Dota 2 Pro Circuit points.
