MSI Competes Four Dota 2 Teams at MSI MGA Cup Indonesia 2021
Competitive realm Dota 2 Indonesia never seems to have a break throughout the month of September. This weekend, MSI will hold the final phase of the tournament Dota 2 MSI MGA Cup Indonesia 2021, to be exact on September 30 at Cre8 Co-Working Space PIK Avenue, Jakarta.
The tournament itself actually consists of three separate phases. The first two phases are the qualifying phase which was completed some time ago. In the first qualifier, as many as 122 teams competed in the format single elimination best of one to fight for eight slots in the second qualifier.
These eight teams will then be pitted again in the format round robin best of two, and the three best teams will advance to the final phase along with Rex Regum Qeon who is already waiting as the invited team.
After a long qualifying phase, Pandora Esports, Underground Infinite, and Eternity Havoc managed to secure tickets to the final phase. For Pandora and UG, this is their second LAN this month, after previously competing in ASUS ROG-Masters (UG) and IPGL (Pandora). Meanwhile, for Eternity Havoc, this is one of their opportunities to reap achievements in the midst of strong Indonesian teams in the LAN tournament.
The four teams will compete in the format double elimination best of one (best of three finals) and fight for the total prize pool IDR 30 million.
