Violating State Policy, China Threatens to Block PUBG Mobile

Recently, it was reported that the Indian government blocked PUBG Mobile because of the political conflict with China. The problem seems to be over soon with the publication taking over PUBG Mobile from Tencent to PUBG Corp. Now a new problem has hit the battle royale game again.

The Chinese government is also rumored to be blocking the game PUBG Mobile as is the case in India. PUBG Mobile itself has actually changed its name to Games for Peace/Peace Keeper in China due to licensing issues. Recently an investigation conducted by the Chinese government concluded that Peace Keeper suspected of violating the Bamboo Curtain state policy.

The Chinese government recorded as many as 14 mobile applications that violate the rules by collecting personal data of their users even though it is not in accordance with applicable policies. Tencent as a publisher must move quickly to solve this problem so that PUBG Mobile not blocked by the government. If not, then the fate will be the same as the countries that have blocked PUBG Mobile namely Pakistan, Iraq, Jordan, and India.

Even though China itself is one of the countries that contribute the most players PUBG Mobile. other than that PUBG Mobile may also suffer a fantastic loss by blocking the game in China.
