RE8 Village Guide Part 2: From Siege to End in Maiden of War

If you followed the RE Village guide part 1 and have passed the first battle, we assume that you have got the Bolt Cutter in the first part of the Resident Evil Village guide, now we dive into the second part of the guide which will discuss Maiden of War, Graveyard, The Field, and M1897 Shotgun.

Cross the bridge over the shallow river and head for the house ahead, through the open door. Once inside, turn around and use the command to barricade the door with a shelf and yellow tape attached to the side. Check the radio on the move, then see the handgun bullet by the window over there.

Once you’ve done that, head upstairs to get Handgun Ammo and Chem Fluid. Get ready to fight against terrible monsters.

Siege

Go downstairs and look in the window, if an enemy appears, shoot him in the head. Be careful though, because there’s a good chance that another warewolf will appear in the building from the stairs.

Again, it’s close range so use cover to stop it from catching you and don’t be afraid to run past it to make room before shooting. You can lure the warewolf inside to follow you down the stairs, giving you enough range to get some shots.

After going through a thrilling fight the noise would subside, Ethan would say “is it over?” and the radio that was dead becomes alive, signaling the end of your ordeal. The radio message asked the survivors to go to Louisa’s house near the fields. Move the shelf where you closed the door and go outside.

Once out, immediately turn left and follow the path around it. Don’t worry about the werewolves above, they won’t attack you for a while. Slash the box containing the Herb will open and take it. Now that one of the werewolves may have descended and can follow you, he will attack if approached. Shoot the werewolves and you will make them angry, here you have no other choice but to run away.

Because most likely you won’t win against him, so stop hoping. With this condition you should know what to do. Yes, run as fast as you can and shoot if they start to get close. Walk around the side of the building next to you. There is a box in the back that contains 12 Handgun Ammo, which is very much needed in the future.

On the other hand, you will see a dead end, so turn around and return to the path you came from earlier, but take the ladder on the left. Go around the left house until you’re behind, then go down the slope and turn left again, running to a dead end next to a red barrel.

Lure some enemies to get close, then shoot the red barrels, so killing enemies becomes easier. After defeating them, take some items from him and enter the house, there is another box that can be destroyed here with Handgun Ammo inside.

Previously, we discussed in detail how to get the M1897 Shotgun in RE Village. You can get this weapon for free in East Old Town.

Alright to continue the flow of the game now you need to go up the ladder next to the box, run straight ahead, and get off the roof. Destroy the box to get Handgun Ammo. After that please continue the journey down the slope and follow it, see the fence on your left, turn back to where you saw the werewolf on the roof.

Climb the stairs to the wooden terrace and follow it until you can enter the building. Lock the door with the bookshelf next to the door. Here you will find some Gunpowder or gunpowder, craft materials needed to make ammunition, Handgun Ammo, Herbs, and of course the M1897 Shotgun. Go into the next room and pick up the Handgun Ammo and Gunpowder.

Once you’ve managed to get your hands on the shotgun, now head down the stairs and collect Rusted Scrap, another key component for making ammo and follow the tunnel around before crawling out of the exit. After that you will be caught by a bunch of enemies and a cutscene will occur.

When you’re done, an old granny calls you through the previously locked gate near the red barrel. Before you follow it, make sure you’ve picked up the loot dropped by the enemies you killed in the previous battle. Once you are ready, go through the gate.

Maiden of War

Go inside the church-like building on your left to read the notes and pick up some Chem Fluid. There’s also a locked drawer in the back room so make sure you interact with it to mark it on the map.

Exit the building and turn left, towards the girl statue. There is something shiny on the shield, shoot it to get valuable items that you can later sell. To the right of the statue, there is a tractor with some Rusted Scrap.

Once you get it, head back to the graveyard and take the path on the right. Shoot the crows at the tombstones to get some Lei that you can later spend and kill the Goat of Warding using a gun or knife at a nearby temple. In addition, you can get Herbs in the far corner of the cemetery, right next to one of the tombstones.

Walk through the door with the mural on it and go through the nearby iron gate, to the large building on the east side of the cemetery. Inside you’ll find Maiden’s Crest, notes, and a typewriter to store game data. Regardless, there’s a head outside another door and down onto the field straight ahead.

You’ll soon hear the werewolf growling and you’ll probably catch a glimpse of them running through the undergrowth in the field. On your right are some Gunpowders to collect, and there are more Gunpowders in the open ti box.

Go back to the field entrance and walk down the street with the cart on it, on your left is a small fence that you can jump over, enter the building here to get some Rusted Scrap and Handgun Ammon.

Next time you’ll see the enemy, the best way to approach them is to shoot at one of the flour bags to confuse them and blur their vision before you get past them. Once on the other side, you can clearly see them and decapitate them with a shotgun.

Once they’re down, grab their corpses and run as fast as you can around the area for loot. When you’re done, go to the gate and a cutscene will appear showing people hiding in a nearby hut. Head to the hut and get ready to meet some of the other residents. Click the following link to read the Resident Evil Part 3 guide which will take you to meet The Duke.
