ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2 Starladder Group Format and Distribution
Tomorrow June 12th, Starladder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2 will start. This tournament will be the last Minor for the Dota Pro Circuit 2021. This means that this will be the last event for the participants to compete for the invitation slot for The International 2021.
Like Minor in general, Starladder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2 was followed by eight teams. They will be divided into two groups and compete in GSL format best of three. The two best teams from each group are entitled to advance to the round playoffs with the format double elimination best of three. While the bottom two teams must fall out of the tournament.
There is one thing that is slightly different from the round playoffs This last minor. If normally only the tournament winner is entitled to a ticket to the Major, in this tournament the last Major slot will be awarded to the top two teams. This means that the team that reaches the final round will be confirmed to compete in the last Major, namely the Epicenter Major.

Following pairing for the first match of each group:
- Group A: EHOME vs Anvorgesa
- Group A: Alliance vs Winstrike
- Group B: Team Sirius vs Ninjas in Pajamas
- Group B: Mineski vs Complexity
Seen from ranking Dota Pro Circuit 2021, the only team that has guaranteed a slot to The International 2021 is Ninjas in Pajamas. The rest had to fight to get a slot to the Major in order to have any hope of getting the The International 2021 slot which was only left for four teams.
