Game Review World Of Warships – “Adults Only” Game with High Patience
After the success of World of Tanks, Wargaming.net has released their newest game, World of Warships. We have tagged this game with the tagline “Adults Only” because you need a lot of patience and you shouldn’t act rashly, because all the actions you take on the battlefield have an important impact on both you and your team.
Gameplay.
The game is set in the first and second world wars and is dominated by ships from the United States and Japan. There is a choice of Russian and British ships, but you have to buy them using a premium account and the prices are quite high. In the last update, Ships from the UK were removed from the list and why this was done by Wargaming.net we don’t know yet.
You will be given two cruisers, each from the United States and Japan. As info cruiser is a small and fast warship which in our opinion has the best balance of other types of ships both from the damage given, handling, and physical endurance. Like most Windows games you can control your ship with the W,A,S,D keys and choose your ammo type with the 1,2,3 keys.
In World of Warships there are two war modes, namely Co-Op Battle and Random Battle. In Co-Op Battle mode you and other players will fight against a bunch of AI with ships that have also been adjusted to your level. If you are new to this game, we recommend that you play a lot in this mode to learn more about this game. In Random Battle mode, you will fight other online players, the matchmaking mode provided by Wargaming.net is automatic, so you will not be able to choose servers or rooms like the Titanfall game.
The battle will start in the position of each team facing off but still far ahead, Well this is your first important decision to advance aggressively or not, maybe you can even hide behind the islands scattered in the war area. If you choose to progress aggressively, you should invite a friend to go with you, because you definitely don’t want to end up being swarmed by enemy ships and forced to end your game quickly.
The types of ships also greatly affect your strategy and style of play, because of course you will not be able to sneak around using an Airplane Carrier or Battleship because their speed and maneuverability are not as good as Cruiser and Destroyer. Each ship also has its own skills and uniqueness, for example the Destroyer which is our favorite ship because of its agility to maneuver and its ability to fire torpedoes quickly.
Keep in mind that this game is a free-to-play game. Even so, Wargaming still provides premium facilities, but don’t assume that by spending a lot of money you can easily become a “God” in this game, because in our opinion Wargaming.net managed to mix this game system with good so skill is number one in this game.
Graphics
World of Warship presents graphics quality that is quite stunning. You will certainly often meet a very realistic expanse of blue sea and islands which are mostly filled with green from plants so that your eyes will not get tired quickly even if you play this game for a long time.
The effects given in this game are also very realistic, such as you will watch the ship burn, explode, or even split into two parts in this game. Not to mention the water splash effect if a bomber plane drops its bomb near you.
Although it has stunning graphics quality, this game is not too heavy. We tried running this game on a nearly 4 year old GTX 660M with the right configuration stuck and we didn’t experience any lag. The FPS we get on average is around 35-44 FPS.
Conclusion
For a Free-to-Play game, World Of Warship deserves thumbs up because it managed to create a gameplay system, and stunning graphics quality like a paid game from a well-known game developer. We highly recommend this game!
