Finally, Samsung Officially Releases Galaxy Note 8 in Indonesia
After previously opening the Galaxy Note 8 pre-order session in Indonesia on September 8-18 2021, Samsung has now officially released the Note 8 in Indonesia. The event, which was attended by the President of Samsung Electronics Indonesia, Jaehoon Kwon, was held in Jakarta, Monday (25/9/2021).
“There are many loyal Galaxy Note users in Indonesia. Even though we didn’t release it last year (Galaxy Note 7), they are still waiting. Thank you for waiting,” said Jaehoon Kwon, at the launch event in Jakarta, Monday (25/9/2021), as quoted from the Kompas Tekno page.
Indonesian Market Enthusiasm for Note 8
Not only successful in their home country, South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also claimed to have high enthusiasm from homeland gadget lovers. This is based on the number of pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 8 which Samsung said exceeded their target. Although not mentioning exact figures, Samsung claims that the enthusiasm of the Indonesian market is greater than the Samsung Galaxy S8 which was released first.
“The pre-orders were very good, well above the target. In fact, the highest in 3 days has surpassed S8,” said So Djien Gie, Vice President of IT & Mobile at Samsung Electronics Indonesia after the launch of the Galaxy Note 8 in Jakarta, as quoted from the detikINET page.
This certainly brings fresh air for Samsung after last year’s incident with the Galaxy Note 7 which exploded everywhere, even to the point of having to withdraw it from circulation. However, Samsung admits that it is not so worried about people’s lack of interest in buying Samsung devices because they see many Samsung loyalists waiting for the presence of this latest Samsung phablet.
“A lot of people are waiting. This is our inspiration. So no worries. Moreover, we did research beforehand,” said Gie, as quoted from the detikINET page.
Even Samsung also claims to pay special attention to users and buyers of Note 7 by providing early information about the release and ordering of the Galaxy Note 8.
Galaxy Note 8 Limited Edition
Success with the Galaxy S8+ Limited Edition then made Samsung do the same for the Note 8. Samsung will release the Note 8 Limited Edition which will be given a special touch from four leading Indonesian artists, namely Nyoman Nuarta, Denny Wirawan, Mochtar Sarman and Rinaldy A.
“We chose the four artists because of the common vision with Samsung. They have big dreams in creating a masterpiece just like the Galaxy Note 8,” said Vebbyna Kaunang, as quoted from the detikINET page.
Later, Samsung will produce eight units of the Galaxy Note 8 Limited Edition. A number of units will be auctioned behind closed doors like the limited edition Galaxy S8+ auction some time ago. In addition, the auction will also be conducted online through the Blibli.com website on 18 October 2021.
There is no information about the price for this limited edition Note 8, but Vebbyna hopes that the auction value can exceed the limited edition Galaxy S8+ which was sold for Rp 100 million and Rp 105 million. Later, the proceeds from this auction will not go fully into Samsung’s pockets, but will be donated to a number of communities in Indonesia.
