Two ways to see which version of windows is used in laptop/pc easily. Complete with version and build.
Most people often ignore the version of windows they are using. But for some people, knowing the version of windows used is very important.
Maybe if you install windows yourself, you will know what version of windows you are using, but what about those who don’t know what version of windows they are using because they didn’t install windows, it could be that their laptop/computer was installed by someone else.
Of course there are several ways that can be used to see what version of windows we are using. But, in this tutorial, I only use 2 ways, namely through windows itself and through the help of software called Speccy.
How to see which version of Windows is in use
A. Via Settings
1. On the desktop screen, right click the Windows icon as indicated by the arrow.
2. Then you select System.
3. Information about the version of Windows you are using is displayed as shown below. How to read it like this, so my laptop uses Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version 20H2 build 19042.746. What you need to pay attention to is the blue writing, the rest is as complementary information.
B. Using Speccy
1. Please download the app is here.
2. Install as usual, then open the application.
3. You will see a display as shown in the following image. Almost all information about your computer / laptop will be clearly visible, including the version of windows you are using.
4. Please select Operating System to find out more details about the operating system you are using.
Besides being used to see what version of windows is being used, the Speccy application can also be used to see the detailed and complete specifications of your computer/laptop.
Knowing the version of Windows that is used is quite important for users, because when installing an application, you will definitely meet the requirements of the application at least using what version of Windows. Because there are some applications that can only run on one version of Windows, and cannot be used on other versions of Windows.
