PUBG Closes in China, Tencent Launches Substitute Game Titled Game for Peace

Recently, Tencent Game has closed its popular game, namely PUBG Mobile in China and replaced the game with an anti-terrorism themed game called Helping Jingying or Games for Peace.

Games for Peace itself is a game about military-style shooting that requires players to defend the Chinese air base from their enemies.

This is revealed after players enter the game PUBG Mobile where there is a message about the open beta of the game that is being kept secret by Tencent, namely Games for Peace.

The update also included a thank you note from the operations team PUBG Mobile in China which confirmed the end of the beta for the title. Players can update Games for Peace using client PUBG Mobile.

The reason why Tencent shut down PUBG Mobile was the insistence of the Chinese government. The Chinese government considers PUBG Mobile did not pass the anti-addiction system implemented by Tencent and the Chinese Government. Other than that, PUBG Mobile also considered to have many elements of violence that are not in accordance with the norm in China.
