Win the Northern Arena BEAT Invitational Dota 2, Wings Gaming Proves That They Are Still Very Strong

Dota 2 champions The International 2021 (TI6) Wings Gaming showed that they remain the best Dota 2 team in the world today. Present as one of the participants in the Northern Arena BEAT Invitational, Wings managed to emerge as the champion, defeating a number of big teams in this tournament.

The Northern Arena BEAT Invitational itself, as the name implies, is a tournament whose participants are invited directly by the organizers and opens only one slots for qualification. The teams that have become are also not random: Evil Geniuses, Alliance, Team NP, EHOME, CompLexity, Ad Finem, Wings, and FDL.

Wings, who did not change their roster after TI6, still looked quite dominant, winning 2-0 in the quarter-finals and semifinals against Ad Finem and Team NP respectively. Just in the finals winners bracket they have a little trouble with EHOME. But in the end they still won with a score of 2-1.

Team NP who made their first LAN debut in this tournament also looks quite promising. After losing to Wings, this team formed by EternaLEnVy swept losers’ bracket by defeating strong teams like Alliance, EHOME, and their American rivals, Evil Geniuses. They finally advanced to the _grand final facing the waiting Wings.

Half grand final itself was fierce. The first game, Team NP was superior throughout early and mid game, even take two sets barracks in lane top and center of the Wings. But a few minor mistakes allowed Wings to push back and comeback win the first game.

The second game is more or less similar. The NP team managed to break through tier 3 tower Wings in lane down and take ranged barrack before 20 minutes. But after that Wings took control instead. 10 minutes later, Wings got a set instead barracks in the middle, then set barracks in lane down, and immediately eyed the Throne to emerge as the tournament champion.

With this victory, Wings is entitled to take home US$ 48,000 (around Rp. 639 million), while showing that they are a team to be feared. Next, before the Boston Major, Wings will travel to The Summit 6 which has an even tougher list of participants this weekend.
