Preview: ASUS ROG G701VI Announced Its Presence
ASUS ROG G701VI was announced a few days ago. This laptop is a new model that carries a 17.3-inch screen landscape, and is a typical device VR-ready gaming with a pre-installed CPUoverclock and a 120Hz G-Sync display. Inside there is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 VGA.
ROG G701VI comes in two models, namely G701VI-XB78K and G701VI-XB72K. Each model comes with the same hardware specifications, but each comes with different memory and internal storage configurations. If the G701VI-XB72K carries an Intel Core i7-6820HK processor, NVidia GTX 1080, memory support up to 64GB, internal storage 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD and 32GB RAM; then the XB78K comes with similar innards specifications, but differs in terms of internal storage (2x 512GB PCIe NVMe SSDs RAID 0) and 64GB RAM.
ASUS itself states that the ROG G702VI is the world’s first laptop to come with a screen wide-viewing angle 120Hz, with G-Sync feature. This kind of claim is of course not surprising, when there are many other vendors who also make similar claims. The 17.3-inch anti-glare display panel has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 gamers, NVidia’s G-Sync feature will ensure the smoothest experience when playing a game, even though fakeis directed to the maximum number. However, with VGA GTX 1080 in it, it might be quite difficult to find a game that can be played under 60 FPS.
ROG G701VI provides two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, but each has different functionality. One of the Type-C ports is dedicated to supporting the use of Thuhnderbolt 3, while the other offers data transfer speeds of 10Gbps. It sounds like an anomaly, because other laptops generally provide the same port, but provide the two features mentioned above.
The exception that ASUS makes may be related to the company’s desire to provide support for the XG Station 2 GPU dock. This unique device is called dock which stores the external VGA. Well, the XG Station 2 GPU dock will be connected to the G701VI via two USB Type-C cables provided by the laptop device. Both ASUS G701VI models are currently available from several online retailers, including on the official ASUS, Newegg, and Amazon websites. The XB72K model retails for $3,099 (approximately 31 million), while the XB78K retails for $3,699 (approximately 37 million).

In general, there are three things a person asks for gamers when he bought a gaming laptop. The first is a powerful VGA, fast processor, and high-quality screen. Of course there are many things that can be seen from a gaming laptop, but the three things above are at least the basic needs that must be met.
These basic needs are now able to be met by the ASUS ROG G701VI. The price is expensive? Can not be denied. But at least this is the latest feature that can be offered by ASUS today.
