Nintendo Switch Becomes Japan's Best Selling Console
Following PS4 sales
Nintendo Switch is really selling well in all countries, especially Japan. Japan itself can’t afford to keep the Nintendo Switch for too long, because the item will be bought very quickly by players. Even some areas are required to use a lottery system to be able to buy the console
During the period from July 30 to August 26, it was recorded that the Switch console managed to sell up to 199,000 units throughout Japan. This figure makes the total sales of the console sold to 4.9 million in a month
In comparison, Sony’s PlayStation 4 this month sold up to 86,000 units, which brings it to 6,979 million units for the month. There’s a difference of around 2 million units, even though the PlayStation 4 has 3 years longer than the Switch.
In terms of game sales, for this month Splatoon 2 became the best-selling game for Switch users because it managed to sell up to 96,639. The next game is WarioWare Gold which sold up to 90,121. Judging from the results of game and console sales, it looks like the Switch is enjoying its heyday. Plus several well-known developers are also making games for the Switch version, for example Blizzard which includes Diablo 3 for Switch.
