Indonesia Again Hosts MSC 2021, Mobile Legends Prestigious Competition

Moonton again held a competition for Mobile Legends gamers. Titled Mobile Legends: Bang Bang South East Asia Cup 2021 (MSC 2021), Indonesia was again chosen as the host.

Compared to last year, this year more participants took part. If last year there were only five countries, this time at MSC 2021 there are seven Southeast Asian countries participating.

Previously, participating countries were Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Meanwhile, participants from Myanmar and Vietnam only joined this year.

For the selection process, this year is also different from last year. This time, MSC 2021 applies an invitation system, not an open registration.

This means that the team chosen by Moonton to compete at MSC 2021 is the winner of the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) in each country, such as Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Meanwhile for other countries, such as Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand, they are still in the qualification process.

“Indonesia was chosen as the host because of the huge interest here,” said Country Manager Moonton Indonesia Cayayan during the MSC 2021 press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday (3/7/2021).

Next year, the Mobile Legends competition is planned to reach more countries. Cayayan said that in 2021, other countries such as Cambodia, Laos, and Brunei Darussalam are said to be participating.

“For next year, hopefully, the European and North American regions will also have competition Mobile Legends itself as the game develops,” he explained.

Later, MSC 2021 will be divided into two rounds, namely: Group Stage and Playoffs. In the group stage, the 10 participating teams will be divided into two groups with a match system round robin.

“The top two teams from each group will advance to the final playoffs with system single eliminationn,” said Revival TV’s Chief Growth Officer, Irliansyah Wijanarko. MSC 2021 itself will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

Moonton himself has prepared a total prize of US$ 100 thousand or equivalent to Rp 1.4 billion. Irliansyah said, all matches held from 27 to 29 July 2021 will be broadcast live via Facebook Mobile Legends in three languages, namely Indonesian, English and Thai.

For those who want to watch live, they can buy tickets for regular classes on the day of the event. Especially for VIP and VVIP can only be obtained by invitation.
