Gigabyte Announces GPU Mining CMP 30HX

Nvidia GPUs mining first officially appeared online with the card announcement Gigabyte CMP 30HX, comes with processor cryptomining. Though Nvidia has announced CMP just a few months ago, but until now there has been no official release of the latest card from Nvidia or its partners.

Nvidia say two CMP first, 30HX and 40HX will be launched in the first quarter of 2022 in May. CMP 30HX is a card cryptomining entry level Nvidia with hash rate the lowest is 26 MH/s of CMP that have been announced so far. Gigabyte CMP 30HX built with Turing TU116-100 GPU, 6GB GDDR6 RAM, and 1,408 CUDA cores, so this card is basically a modified one Nvidia GTX 1660 Super.

With official announcement Gigabyte CMP 30HX what we know, GPU mining Nvidia started to enter the market. So far the two cards from Gigabyte, have never been the most impressive piece of hardware. By level hash 26MH/s, this 30MX card performs as poorly as the Radeon RX 480 and GTX 1070 Ti, which are much more readily available and cheaper than the price 30HX so far.

However, all that can change, if the MSRP of 30HX and the upcoming 40HX is priced much more competitively than the other cards. It takes almost a full year for the miners to break even the RTX 3090 or RTX 3080 because the markups don’t match those seen online, especially from retail on eBay and StockX.

Ethereum and Bitcoin prices are very volatile, so get faster miner can get past the break-even point and start making a profit. Judging from the markup on the online site, the card is priced at around $720 or equivalent to Rp. 10,800,000. If Nvidia and its partners flood the market with CMP very cheap until CMP those who are more powerful based on Nvidia GPUs Ampere was released later this year. It can make a difference in the success or failure of these cards and their impact on the overall graphics card supply.
