EA and Premier League Announce ePremier League
The team that competes is the same as the Premier League, only from England.
Premier League recently announced their collaboration with Electronic Arts to make a tournament ePremier League (ePL). This ePL will later be organized by Gfinity who is used to taking care of eSports tournaments.
All 20 clubs from the Premier League will be in attendance at the tournament’s opening ceremony, giving FIFA players in the UK the opportunity to compete in support of their favorite team.
This ePL will start in not January with the system online qualification before finally entering the playoffs in January to March. The final of the ePL will take place in London from 28 to 29 March 2021, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and Premier League channels.
Richard Masters as Director of the Premier League said that this collaboration with EA is a very good thing and EA Sports is the most appropriate candidate to do this. And Richard himself admitted that he couldn’t wait to see the online opening in 2021.
Each team will be played with 2 players, 1 from PlayStation 4 and 1 from Xbox One. Registration will open on December 3rd.
ePL itself will also take part in the FIFA 19 Global Series. Where the participants who manage to get points that can be used to participate in the FIFA 19 Global Series.
