Yauza Creator Reportedly Leaving Sega and Joining NetEase

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jember – A surprising news came from one of SEGA’s creators, Toshihiro Nagoshi. He is rumored to be leaving Sega and will join NetEase.

As reported by Bloomberg, Yakuza game series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi will be leaving SEGA in the near future.

His decision ended his 32 years of service to one of the game companies. Reportedly, Nagoshi will join NetEase, a Chinese company that is also actively developing video games. The position he will fill is still unknown.

Until the news was made, negotiations between Nagoshi and NetEase were in the final stages. His departure was certainly a surprise, especially when he decided to step down from the position of CEO of SEGA in early 2021. SEGA explained that Toshihiro wanted to focus on the side rather than managing the company.

Until this news was made, there is still no official confirmation, either from SEGA, Nagoshi or NetEase.
